General & Approach
What is ALICOG and how are you different from large consulting firms?
ALICOG is a consulting firm specialized in Supply Chain and SAP S/4HANA. The fundamental difference: you work directly with senior experts with over 20 years of field experience — not with a junior discovering your sector on your budget.
Which industries do you work with?
ALICOG works with industrial companies across:
  • Manufacturing
  • Food & Beverage
  • Automotive & Suppliers
  • Pharmaceutical & Cosmetics
  • Distribution & Logistics
  • Consumer Goods
What is your intervention methodology?
Every ALICOG engagement follows 4 steps:
  • Diagnose — analysis of your business challenges
  • Design — tailored solutions co-built with your teams
  • Transform — deployment with change management
  • Monitor & improve — results measurement and continuous optimization
We always start with an honest diagnostic. If your situation does not call for our intervention, we tell you.
Do you work with SMEs or only large companies?
ALICOG works with SMEs, mid-size companies and large enterprises. Size is not the determining criterion — what matters is the complexity of the challenges and the genuine will to transform.
How does the first contact with ALICOG work?
  • You send your request via the contact form
  • An ALICOG expert responds personally within 24 business hours
  • A 30-minute call is scheduled
  • If conditions are met, a tailored proposal is submitted
The first conversation is free and non-binding.
SAP S/4HANA
Which SAP modules do you cover?
ALICOG covers:
  • PP (Production Planning) — MRP, MPS, capacity management
  • MM (Materials Management) — procurement, inventory
  • SD (Sales & Distribution) — orders, deliveries
  • QM (Quality Management) — traceability, quality control
  • WM/EWM (Warehouse Management)
  • FI/CO — operational management accounting
Can you support an SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration?
Yes, this is one of our priority areas. ALICOG can intervene at every stage: as-is analysis, migration strategy (Greenfield, Brownfield, Selective), process redesign, configuration, testing and go-live. Our approach: migration is the perfect opportunity to do BPR.
SAP ECC maintenance ends in 2027. How to prepare?
Standard maintenance for SAP ECC 6.0 ends in 2027. The ideal time to trigger your project is now — S/4HANA projects take an average of 12 to 24 months. ALICOG recommends starting with an as-is audit (3 to 4 weeks) to assess the real complexity.
Can you optimize an SAP system already in production?
Absolutely. Many of our engagements focus on optimizing existing SAP systems: MRP/MPS reparametrization, master data cleanup, PP/MM/SD flow optimization, KPI improvement. A poorly configured system generates significant losses — often less costly to fix than to endure.
Do you work with SAP IBP for S&OP?
Yes. SAP IBP (Integrated Business Planning) is SAP's cloud solution for S&OP, Demand Planning and Supply Planning. ALICOG supports its evaluation, implementation and optimization, ensuring business processes are well defined before configuring the tool.
Supply Chain
How do I know if my company needs S&OP?
Your company would benefit from S&OP if:
  • Insufficient service level despite significant inventory
  • Siloed decisions between sales, production and procurement
  • Unreliable sales forecasts used for production planning
  • Frequent stockouts on some products and excess on others
  • No monthly integrated meeting across all functions
What are the most important supply chain KPIs to track?
The 5 fundamental KPIs:
  • OTIF (On-Time In-Full) — target >95%
  • Fill Rate — immediate service level, target >98%
  • Inventory Turnover — efficiency of tied-up capital
  • Forecast Accuracy — forecast precision, target >80%
  • Supplier OTD — supplier punctuality, target >95%
What is BPR and when should it be triggered?
BPR (Business Process Reengineering) is a radical redesign of key processes — unlike continuous improvement (Lean, Kaizen) which optimizes the existing. It should be triggered when costs are out of control despite efforts, when processes are structurally siloed, or during an SAP S/4HANA migration.
What is a MES and what is it used for?
A MES (Manufacturing Execution System) ensures real-time tracking and control of shop floor production. Key functions:
  • Real-time OEE monitoring (availability, performance, quality)
  • Manufacturing order management and resource allocation
  • Lot traceability and operational quality control
  • Machine data collection (IoT, SCADA)
  • Real data feedback to SAP PP
Engagements & Pricing
What is the typical duration of an engagement?
  • Audit / diagnostic — 2 to 4 weeks
  • S&OP or KPI engagement — 2 to 4 months
  • MES implementation — 3 to 6 months
  • BPR + SAP configuration — 4 to 9 months
  • SAP S/4HANA migration — 12 to 24 months
Do you offer post-engagement support?
Yes. ALICOG can provide post go-live support in the form of ongoing support, continuous training or KPI monitoring. The goal is for your teams to be autonomous at the end of the engagement — not to create dependency on us.
How are your fees structured?
ALICOG works primarily on fixed-fee engagements (fixed price for a defined scope) or daily rate. Fees are determined after the initial diagnostic, based on complexity and expected deliverables. Contact us for a tailored proposal.
What if ALICOG is not the right fit for us?
We will tell you clearly. ALICOG does not take on engagements where our expertise is not the best fit. This honesty is at the core of our approach. A failed engagement serves neither the client nor ALICOG.
